I love my festive kitty. She looks a lot like my cat Tiggy at home - she's the world's misery guts, and I love her to bits. How is it that people can love an animal that's so grumpy - maybe it's the challenge?

Xmas has snuck up on me this year. I find myself with two weeks to go before I have to drive my way back to Chorley, and I still haven't the faintest clue what to buy for anyone. I'm normally more organised than this. I also normally have more free cash at my disposal - not the case this year, since I get two weeks unpaid "holiday" over Xmas (ah, the glamour of the freelance world).

Still, am looking forward to it.

Me and Babol put up our first ever Xmas tree last night - the little bastard's a sharp SOB, I've got scratches all over my fingers. However, our little tree with its sparse bourbels and messy tinsel looks rather lovely. I feel ever so domesticated.

Next thing: damn Xmas card list. Means finding everyone's addresses... again. I gather them every year, and find i have lost them by March! I suck.

Can't wait for next week. Wednesday: Lord of The Rings. Saturday: Eddie Izzard. Giddy, giddy, giddy!
