Oh Gawd - Goldie's a feminist aswell! She thinks the Miss World contest should be banned and that lap dancing should be illegal! Sigh.

First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Dorrie! I know it's late but I keep falling back on that fabulous saying "It's the thought that counts". Whoever created that phrase needs to be given a million pounds. They are a genius.
Went to a writing workshop on Saturday at Soho Theatre - how terrified was I? Very. It was okay though - a little bit like an exam (had to write a short play in an hour after a morning of 'exercises'). I completed everything they wanted, and now they choose who they want on their course, but I don't know... Hmm. Considering my play was about a stoner who has a holiday in his back yard, I'm not sure it was quite cerebral enough. But I met some nice people and I guess learned some new stuff, but not as much as I would have liked.
Anywayz, back to the old invoicing. Babol is arriving with a van tomorrow, so it's all go from there. Eek! Not enough hours in the day.

Oh and by the way, Mamouth Butt has been replaced (hip hooray) with Goldie - who is much nicer although a little weird. She bought an absolutely hideous hat that made her look like a Russian Transvestite. That's the best description I can think of. Not a happy plan. Plus she's a vegetarian who doesn't eat fish. One, two, three, let's all sing the hypocrisy song!

Now, now Holly Spice Mark IV - just cause you got chucked off the Varsity website doesn't mean you can start bitching on mine! Now behave or I'll kick you in the nuts (soon you shall have nowhere to hide - wa ha ha ha).
Have been suffering from a rather evil cold this week, a permanent head full of snot and stuffiness. Evil. I'd say it makes one contemplate the good things in one's life, but it don't. You just feel sulky and irritated at the injustice of germs. But am on the mend and shall no doubt soon be fully recovered, though I have to clean the flat tonight, so I might just have a relapse.
Am making final preparations for the big move, and praying that the contract isn't hiding some horrible conditions that will horrify me. Fingers crossed.
Must get on with work - boring filing. No fun. Boo.
On a lighter note, Celebrity Big Brother looks like it's going to be as atypically addictive as always, and I finally received my much coveted Buffy Season 4 DVD after a 3 month wait. Excited and giddy. Hmm, maybe my life revolves around TV too much. Must do more research.

Put a holding deposit down on new swanky flat - now as long as they don't delve into our bank accounts too deeply, we should get it - PARTY!

Just a quickie - Saturday looked round a GORGEOUS flat - things are moving ahead with it too, so looks like it could be ours (Me, Baldy & Babol). It sooooo purty - I want it I want it I want it! Anyway, touch wood with that and time will tell.
Sunday a less successful day - intended to go see Bron only to get to Waterloo and be told that ALL trains had been stopped from leaving and they wouldn't know anything for another 3/4 hours. So annoyed because I got up early and was really looking forward to fun day - even more annoyed cause I got up an hour early cause I thought the clocks went back Sunday night not Saturday - crabby.
Anyway, work as normal. Submitted Technically Speaking and Storyland Mumbles to this catalogue thingy - don't know if they'll take them tho - Acting credits included by the by (Hoggy, Baldy, Mad Anna, Crazy Katie, Tall boy, & The Animal). Wooooo!
Anyway - la la - I'm going home!

Am grouchy. My Babol has departed, I'm hungry, it's raining and my legs are numb. This is officially my grouchy day.
But, on upside last night went to a screening of "Changing Lanes" which had a Q&A afterwards with Mr Samuel L Jackson. Woo hoo. Very amusing young man. Not a bad film either, though hardly his best. And then was thoroughly pampered by ma babol. Happy sigh.

Damn the blog has abused me - just typed out lots of lovely stuff about everything going very well, and the bastard thing didn't post it. Damn it to hell. I'm going to go sulk now.

Sorry - long time no blog. I'd say I've been busy (which I have!), but I'm actually just rather lazy. Hmmm. Well - last week bumped into an old friend I haven't seen for AGES! Miss Beth Cohen, who's doing rather well for herself these days. Went to one of her gigs last week, and damn that girl is disgustingly talented. Thursday night involved a rather (not so) swanky trip to the Savoy - not so, because we were not really suitably dressed. Went with work to this industry quiz that we thought was film related, but actually something of an intellectual quiz (uh oh - did not bode well). We came last and got wooden spoons presented by Bamber Gasgoine (of University Challenge fame). Numerous glasses of wine, a yummy meal, many blagged drinks and a wrestling match at the front of the Savoy later, and I curled up into to bed groaning at the inevitable arrival of a hangover the next morning. Friday saw me back to the north (after a frantic packing session in the morning) and into the arms of Ma Babol. Saturday was my cousin Ian's 21st birthday. After the departure of grand-parents and such, funny fags were being passed round, and my littler cousin John (only 17!) had ordered a stripper for the party! OH MY GOD! My father was there for heaven's sake! Mind you, Ian seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself (unsurprisingly). John is awaiting him to return the favour.
Anyway, I think all my busyness has given me the cold I am currently nursing. Boo.
Am off to get my bones cracked shortly, so hopefully I shall still be walking tomorrow.
Tatty bye for now.

Die, Mamouth Butt - DIE!!!!!!!
(German, you know)

Thursday, September 19, 2002
For those of you who know who she is, Mamouth Butt (not to be confused with Fat Ass) is as per usual, driving me up the wall. The girl is such a suck up - she's wedged permanently up everybody's arse at work I doubt she'd recognise daylight anymore. Can't wait till she's outta here - not much longer to wait.
Sweet sigh.
Bitchin' sesh over and out.

Well, well - weekend fun. Went with Holly and Oscar to see Importance of Being Earnest. Hmm, not so great. Pretty in places but appalling adaptation. I think we performed it far better when we did it a Uni :' )
Also went to the Globe Theatre, which was lovely. Holly got us free tickets to see The Golden Ass, which though rather long, was very entertaining and I recommend it highly. But I had a hot dog - which was bad, really - I'm on a funny diet at the moment, which is Protein only (so no carbs like a hot dog bun). Sigh. That's the trouble with things like Crohn's Disease - you have to piss about with your diet so much. And it's REALLY hard. 'Specially when you're hungry.
Am very excited for the weekend, as I get to go up north - play with Ma Babol on Friday, and Saturday I'm going to Chorley to do a theatre fighting workshop with the YT, and then watch their show "Teechers" in the evening. Then back to Ma Babol on Sunday and Monday - I'm travelling on Monday cause the trains are still f***@d up at weekends - sigh. Shall hopefully also get to see the parentals and Dozzie.
Anyway, quiet evening in front of the telly - Baldy is out working so should be a relaxing evening.
Ciao

Just saw a film called "One Hour Photo" - damn this film is good. Stunningly filmed, hauntingly scored, and terrifying the whole way through. I saw Insomnia a while back, and wasn't convinced there by Robin Williams as a pyscho bad guy, but this film... he's not the same type of character at all, and he's not a psycho murderer, but he's a hell of a lot scarier. Yet you feel for him totally. Also an excellent script. Wasn't sure about the last few lines of the film though, but still... wicked stuff. See it!

That's it.
I am uninspired today.

Hmm. Very weird all this.
Well... at least we all weren't blown to smithereens this morning!
Optimism = way forward.
Sorry. I think I'm in a bad mood this morning. Baldy put me in one.
